about

Rend the Night is the second collaborative release by Valeska and Mosey Greams.

It draws heavily from visions of a dark, dream-like moonscape, from childhood memories embellished with brooding colors, from lucid, kaleidoscopic tales of destitution overheard at bustling late-night cafes, from an inescapable, unfulfilled desire to distill the essence that flows within the dream… ultimately, it is an attempt to “create a world in which one can live, a climate otherwise not offered to one in this life…”

The importance of Mosey Greams’ role in Rend the Night cannot be understated. He acted as an additional producer, engineer and vocal arranger, created many vocal arrangements himself, improved existing arrangements, offered always the best advice and pro-tips during the recording process, consulted with me on the mix, and on top of all that, laid down some of the most bad-ass vocal takes this side of the sun. He brought this project from a B to an A+.

A big thanks to Leah Cirker-Stark for singing with us. You killed it.
